Sorry so long since our last post. Its July in Door County there is SO much to do …special theatre notes Born Yesterday opened at Peninsula Players and has had positive reviews from our guests. Also, the staff was invited and enjoyed a great performance of Cyrano de Bererac at Door Shakespeare. Look for scedules while you are here!
It’s a busy weekend for the folks of the Foremost Resorts in Door County! The Westwood Shores pink ladies (and men) are walking the night away for the American Cancer Societys Relay for Life! You may still donate to this special cause at our website. The community also welcomes Jackson Browne and guests for Steelbridge Songfest a fundraiser for the historic bridgedowntown . Newport Resort is so excited about the new bandshell that is right next door … this Sunday’s (6/15) concert is Copper Box you will surely buy a CD if you go to this outdoor concert! And further north Parkwood Lodge and The Inn at Little Siter Hill are telling all of their guests about the Fyr Ball Festival in Ephriam - we are all excited to chase away the winter spirits this year! We have been fortunate that most of the wild weather has missed us and hope all of our guests are safe!

We are pleased to announce the redecorating at Newport Resort is complete! Our spacious suites now feature new coastal decor. We have added bright colors and fun accents including new paint, window treatments, artwork and accessories. You will be impressed with the quality of the new furniture as well as impressed with the new look. Check out the new photos online, then come and experience them for yourself
Experience Door County in full bloom during the annual Festival of Blossoms. See thousands of acres of cherry and apple blossoms spring to life, millions of daffodils and tulips pop up all over the peninsula, and countless wildflowers carpet the forests, meadows and roadsides. You definitely won’t want to miss this month-long celebration of the county’s spring beauty and rich natural heritage.
We are excited for our returning and new guests to take advantage of our improvements in the suites and common areas. In our suites, we have all new carpet and flooring. The kitchens and bathrooms feature new Adura tile, it’s a great product that looks like ceramic stone tile and yet is warm and durable. Feel free to drop a pot in the kitchen, the Adura can handle it! We know you will be impressed with the improvements to our spacious Door County Accommodations at Westwood Shores.
We also replaced some of the flooring in the common areas; the carpet in the offices, the game room, the parlor and the hallways on the first floor has all been replaced. We have also installed ceramic tile in our service kitchen, in front of the coffee bar and in front of the indoor pool. Check out photos online or make a reservation today and see for yourself!
Beowulf Lodge in Fish Creek has been purchased by Greg and Denise Stillman of Foremost Mangement Services. They have managed resorts in Door County for over 17 years. Including current management of Westwood Shores Waterfront Resort, Newport Resort and The Inn at Little Sister Hill.
They plan to upgrade the lodge and change the name to Parkwood Lodge. “We will be replacing all of the exterior windows, some of the siding and painting the exterior.” Improvements will also be made to the indoor pool area including new HVAC and a new finish on the walls and pool deck. Plans are to continue to make improvements and re-invest in the property over the next several years.
